Are the injections painful, what happens and how long does it take?Although a fine needle is used to inject the hyaluronic gel, some mild discomfort during the treatment may be experienced. The products we use contain a mild anaesthetic to minimise any discomfort, with your comfort being our top priority. Some mild tenderness may be experienced after treatment but settling within hours. Dermal filler is made of Hyaluronic acid which is a substance naturally produced in our bodies, and which breaks down over time. Hyaluronic is essential for transferring nutrients in the bloodstream to the cells of the skin, along with hydrating, plumping, and adding volume to our skin. The injecting of hyaluronic acid supports tissue and facial structures that may have lost volume, and elasticity. The product helps to bring hydration to the skin surface, supporting a fresh appearance and moisturised supple skin.

The different types of chemicals cause controlled injury, and penetrate through to a different skin depth, then peeling away to revel a new layer of skin. Chemical peels can be based on the application of layers and/or the duration of time on the skin. Deep peels are used by medical professionals only due to the depth and risk that can be associated with these strengths of treatments. These usually offer more permanent results but can also take a longer time to recover from.
